Greetings from Barcelona!!

I have just spent five glorious days in this beautiful city on the Mediterranean!!! I fly back to the States tomorrow.

This is truly a fablulous city, with tremendous vistas everywhere! I am overwhelmed by the beautiful artistic vision of Antoni Gaudí. His compositional genious can be found all over the city, from the majestic and other-worldly Templo de la Sagrada Familia, to the wonderfully organic Casa Milà and the spaciously awe-inspiring Park Güel.

The people are very friendly and warm. There is live music and dancing everywhere in the streets. Everyone takes a stroll in the evening as it is a very walkable city, with many of its avenues closed off to motorized vehicles.

We went to a wonderful concert of Opera y Flamenco at the magificent Palau de la Música Catalunya, performed by the Ensamble de la Orquesta de Opera de Barcelona y El Grupo Flemenco ¨El Duende¨. It was a truly magical evening of music and dance.

It seems a shame to say goodbye to this beautiful city, but all good things must come to an end.
